Our walls are cut and framed on jigs to insure precision. Solid S - dried 2 x 6 framing is utilized. All framing stock is inspected upon delivery to the plant and it is tested for moisture content.
The "modules" make their way down the assembly line. Our walls are built from the "inside out" insuring superior weathertightness and ease of assembly.
A typical "module" being built. Large sheets of Drywall are utilized, up to 20',significantly reducing or eliminating seams in many rooms.
Our construction takes place "indoors" in a controlled environment, protected from the elements.
Working from the inside out allows our electricians and plumbers superior access and a better installation of mechanical components.
This greatly reduces construction time. Instead of taking months "stickbuilding", construction time is reduced to about 2 weeks on the production line for a typical four box colonial.
All exterior sheathing is solid plywood. It is glued and the seams are caulked to better improve weathertightness. Try to find that in conventional construction!
Virtually all interior millwork (baseboards, window & door casings, crown mouldings, etc.) can be installed at the plant, everything right down to the carpets if you prefer.
Solid overlay doors are standard on our cabinetry. Dovetail drawer construction and solid wood panels are available.. If you prefer, we can install your favorite manufacturers kitchen onsite, including granite or Corian tops.
The choice of exterior is up too you, from Certainteed vinyls and Cedar Impressions shakes
to real wood - red cedar clapboards, white cedar shingles, dipped, bleached or natural. True 5/4 trim stock can be applied to the exterior as well. Superior features such as high wind nailing, copper flashing, Celltek trim boards can all be applied, many of our coastal homes are shipped this way.
Our attention to detail makes our homes blend in seamlessly with their neighborhoods. Once completed, our homes blend in so well that the first remark we most often hear is "That doesn't look like a modular". That cannot be said for many of our competitors product and we take it as a compliment.
We use all brand name components. Names you have heard and trust, Pella, Andersen, Kohler, Therma-Tru, Schlage. No no-name components to cut costs.
Right down to the hardwood floors, we do it all. Our blend of factory construction and onsite customization allows for unprecedented flexibility. Our homes are completely customizable by you from room sizes and layouts to finish materials, you decide.
